10 Ways I will Keep my New Year's Resolution

I have one professional New Year’s resolution (I wish I only had one personal resolution, it might guarantee a higher rate of success…) The goal I have set for myself for the remainder of the school year is to: Focus on the Positive! The following are 10 ways I will keep my resolution:

I     1.  I will recognize people for going above and beyond. Whether it is a hand-written note or quick text or email, I want to let people know how much I appreciate them.
      2.  I will treat others even better than I want to be treated.
      3.  I will embrace change and view it as an opportunity for professional growth.
      4.  I will accept a new challenge that will allow me to stretch as a professional.
      5.  I will believe in myself.
      6.  I will use social media to post articles on the profession of education that will benefit fellow colleagues either in the classroom or in leadership positions.
      7.  I will actively listen.
      8.  I will continue to read professional literature that will keep me current in educational trends.
      9.  I will keep an open mind.
     10. I will continue to raise the bar for myself, professionally and personally.

What are your professional New Year’s resolutions?

I'm not telling you that it's going to be easy; I'm telling you that it's going to be worth it.
